KHC M3 Ceases Operations

Keto Health Care, also known as KHC, has recently ceased operations. This is the company that made the KHC M3 keto breath analyzer, a popular product among their over 150,000+ customers.

The company shut down without any official statement of explanation. The last time their website, ketohc.com, was accessible was in June 2023, according to archive.org. (1)

People had started noticing KHC’s decreased social media activity even before the shutdown. The last Facebook post they made was in July 2023 (2), and their last tweet dates back to January 2019 (3).

KHC was based in San Francisco, and its mission was to offer cost-effective, safe, and easy-to-use solutions for those leading a keto lifestyle.

They were committed to helping their customers achieve their goals and make their keto journey fulfilling. The team at KHC were all “Ketonians”, so they really understood the challenges their customers faced.

Despite having a popular product and a significant customer base, we still don’t know what went wrong for KHC.

KHC M3 Ketone Breath Meter

Keto Health Care (KHC) was a brand dedicated to offering Keto-friendly products, aiming to provide safe, fun, and affordable solutions for those following a ketogenic diet.

Their main product was the KHC M3 Ketone Breath Meter, a device that was designed to be user-friendly and provide quick results. (4) You didn’t have to wait long to get your measurements; in fact, it took just 10 seconds.

One of the standout features of this device was its cost-effectiveness. The price of the device was around $48.95.

Compared to other popular breath analyzers on the market, like Keyto, Biosense, and Lumen, the KHC M3 Ketone Breath Meter was quite affordable. This made it accessible for a wider range of customers.

The device package included the ketone breath meter, six mouthpieces, and an easy-to-understand user manual.

The breath meter was equipped with a clear LCD screen, which displayed your ketone readings. This meant that you didn’t need a phone every time you wanted to check your ketone level.

The company also offered additional accessories for the breath ketone meter like extra mouthpieces, a body measuring tape, and digital body fat calipers. These extras could help users to better track and manage their keto diet progress.

How KHC M3 Worked

KHC’s M3 Ketone Breath Meter was a tool used for checking the amount of ketones in your breath.

The device was quite simple to use with a one-touch operation. All that was necessary was to switch it on, and within seconds, you could start testing.

The M3 device was calibrated to specifically detect acetone, using a different sensor than their previous M2 version. This made it more advanced and accurate in capturing ketone levels.

It had an internal mini-solenoid breath pump, which was designed to ensure the most precise capture of breath ketones for testing.

The results were then displayed on a bright LCD screen, making them easy to read.

Even though the company is no more, the M3 Ketone Breath Meter was a straightforward device for those looking to monitor their ketone levels.
