House of Keto Ceases Operations

The “House of Keto” company, known for its popular ketone breath meter, has ceased operations.

The website, houseofketo.com, was last accessible in April 2021, according to archive.org. (1)

This company had a strong presence in the keto diet community with its affordable and convenient products.

Their main product, the House of Keto Monitor, was widely used for accurately measuring ketones, helping users determine if they were in a fat-burning state known as “nutritional ketosis.”

This monitor was a hit with keto dieters due to its affordability, costing around $29.95, far less than many alternatives.

Besides its flagship product, the company also offered a variety of keto-specific items such as keto shirts, supplements, smart scales, and other accessories.

The company shut down without giving any official statement or explanation.

This has left many people wondering what went wrong for House of Keto, given its popular product range and significant customer base.

House of Keto Ketone Breath Meter

The House of Keto Monitor was a ketone breathalyzer that measured ketone levels in your body. It was small, portable, and easy to use.

You just had to press a button, blow into the device for 10 seconds, and your ketone levels were instantly displayed.

The monitor could tell if you were in a state of ketosis in about 20 seconds, which was really quick and convenient.

The monitor was also reusable and non-invasive, which made it very easy to use. There was no need for messy blood or urine samples, everything was done through a single breath.

Another great thing about the monitor was its cost. It was the most affordable breath-based ketone measuring device on the market. Each monitor cost around $29.95, which was a bargain compared to popular competitors like Keyto and Biosense.

The package included the monitor and 4 mouthpieces. Each mouthpiece should last for several months and was there for hygiene reasons.

How the House of Keto Monitor Worked

The House of Keto Monitor was a convenient tool to measure ketones through breath analysis.

The suggested way to use the device was to breathe normally, then exhale fully, emptying your lungs as much as possible into the monitor.

If you used the monitor several times in a row, the highest reading determined your ketosis state. However, you were advised to only use the device once every five minutes to avoid overloading the sensor.

To use the House of Keto Monitor, you first had to turn it on. The device would then warm up and start a 10-second countdown.

During this countdown, you blew normally into the device. Taking a moderately deep breath and holding it for 5-10 seconds before blowing into the device was recommended.

This process allowed for the highest concentration of ketones to be measured.

After blowing into the device until the countdown reached zero, you could then read the results on the LCD display. A reading between 0.2-0.6 g/l indicated that you were in a state of ketosis.

For the most accurate results, it was suggested to replicate the test every morning while in a fasted state.
