Ingredients

For taco pie

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 Tbsp Taco seasoning mix
  • Snipped chives or cilantro for decoration

For taco seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 2 tsp Chilly pepper
  • 2 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Chipotle powder

Instructions

  • Prepare the taco seasoning: (stir together all of the spices).
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Brown ground beef over medium heat about 5-7 min.
  • Add taco seasoning and cook 3 min on the low heat, stir with a wooden spoon. After that, transfer in a pie form.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs with heavy cream and minced garlic. Pour over beef.
  • Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake 30 min until golden and center is set. Chill for 5 min before slicing.
  • Serve with snipped chives or cilantro leaves and sour cream.
