Ingredients

Runza Filling

  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/2 small head Cabbage finely shredded
  • 1 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper for taste
  • 1/2 cup Water

Keto Dough

  • 3 cups Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 2 Large eggs room temperature
  • 3 cups Almond flour super-fine

Instructions

  • Make the filling; heat butter and olive oil in a skillet
  • Add beef and cook until browned. Add cabbage and spices. Pour over the water and cook until the cabbage is tender, for 30 minutes.
  • Place aside.
  • Make the dough; microwave mozzarella and cream cheese until melted.
  • Fold in eggs followed by the almond flour.
  • Divide the dough into two parts.
  • Roll each part between two pieces of baking paper to ¼-inch thick.
  • Cut each part in 6 pieces.
  • Place the filling on one side, and fold over the dough. Pinch the sides of the dough to seal and close the filling.
  • Preheat oven to 350F/180C.
  • Melt remaining butter in a microwave.
  • Place runza on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with melted butter.
  • Bake runza for 30-35 minutes.
  • Serve at room temperature.
